Tell a Good Story
by Devon McCoy on September 26th, 2021
In loving memory of JMRSix years ago, the Lord wrecked my life in ways I never imagined. The person I looked up to most as an example of what true joy in Christ looked like tragically passed away. John Michael Ritchey was a teacher, a musician, an avid lover of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, but above all he was a man that sought-after God’s heart. He Is Proven as Trustworthy
by Devon McCoy on September 26th, 2021
Part of what being trustworthy means to me is that someone will only ask me to do something for them if they are also willing to do it for me. My roommates are great examples of this. “Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” – Isaiah 44:22About this time last year, I became friends with the sweetest couple from Bangladesh. Now fast forward to this past weekend. I was hanging out with them, their one year old boy, and a few other friends, when all of a sudden they hand me a gift bag. Inside the bag was a miniature replica of Christ The Redeemer, the giant statue of Jesus with hi...  Read More
Promises are Louder than Fear
by Devon McCoy on February 17th, 2021
I can tell you where I was the moment I found out the capitol was being attacked by terrorists. January 6th, I was sitting in my dining room talking with one of my roommates while she was making lunch.I got a notification on my phone that read, “U.S. capitol is under attack.”I remember reading that headline and sitting my phone down because I thought, Surely this cannot actually be happening. A fe...  Read More
