Goodness is Chasing After Me

Dear You,

That moment is over now. I know that you’re not proud. You feel the shame and condemnation creeping in but I’m chasing you down. Your redemption’s found. Just take one step toward Me and I’ll come running. I will make you new. I will set you free. Trust in My unfailing, unconditional love.  You know it breaks My heart to see you hurt Me that way but please don’t turn your face away. I won’t turn you away.
 
Sin is a tricky, intimidating menace. But you’re wiser and stronger.  I am dwelling in you through faith, guarding you with peace, living to intercede for you.  Let Me help you.  I’ve given you safe people to confess to. They won’t judge you or condemn you; they will stand alongside you to strengthen you.  Do what you need to do to get free. Let go of it.  I’m giving you grace.

Ask Me what I think about you.  My thoughts toward you outnumber the sand on the shores.  Let Me love you.  I am empowering you to live a miraculously righteous life.  I paid for your life with my own.  Now, through believing Me, you are an eternal creature with divine power and the greatest Love any man could ever know.  This fairytale is your reality by grace through faith.  Follow me into freedom, into life.

I gave you My Spirit to fill you and refill you.  Do you trust Me? Turn away from your sin and look at what I have to offer you. Step into the riches of your glorious inheritance, into knowing the fullness of love together with all the saints, into the eternal pleasures at My right hand.  I promise you it’s worth it. I have good things for you.  Every good and perfect gift is from Me. I’m not trying to trick you or make you miss out. I want you to know joy in the place of guilt. I want you to know peace in the place of shame.  I want you to know Me in the place of other idols.

You know the sound of my voice and the convictions I whisper in your ears.  Please hear the tone as I intend it. I love you and want you to be safe. I want to protect you. I’ll lead you on paths of righteousness.  It’s not your responsibility to lead the way.  Spend time with Me and you’ll find yourself in green pastures with a restored soul.  You’ll find yourself fearless in the shadows.  You’ll find goodness and mercy chasing after you.  I’ve got you. We’ve got this. We’ll be okay.
